NWBass Tri-Cities Tournament

Northwest Bass Tri Cities July 6th 2013 ~ Rumble at the River

On a warm Saturday morning 64 boats blasted off at the Columbia Point Marina in Tri Cities Washington in hopes of taking home top prize for the best weight of 5 bass.   Anglers had their work cut out for them due to the recent reduction of flow coming off the Priest Rapids Dam.  While anglers may have enjoyed much higher water levels during the pre-fishing excursions the recent reduction of flow had many anglers re-thinking where they were going to fish as many of their hot spots could potentially be high and dry!

On lookers waited with much anticipation for the first flight of anglers to arrive back to the marina to weigh in their catch of the day.  The first flight weigh in was at 3 pm and boats started to arrive back at the busy Columbia Point Marina under very warm conditions.  As always the anglers fishing the Northwest Bass Circuit did not disappoint as some monster bags started to hit the scales!

Jake Boomer and Jayson Bryan took top honors with a total weight of 20.52 pounds with an impressive 6.36 pound large mouth bass!  They enjoyed $5,135 dollars in winnings along with a Sniper Lure Box and Lamiglas Rod package!

Second place went to Jim Broberg and Sean Minderman with 19.22 pounds and a cool $4,535 cash in hand!   Special thanks to the random boater is in order for jump started their boat with minutes to spare before weight in!  If they only knew what that was worth!

Third place went to Marc Lippincott and Chris Treffry with 18.84 pounds for the day and $1,800 in cash!

Rivers West Winners were Jayson Cowgill and Kody Wintrode just edging out the rivers west boat with 13.78 pounds.  Both Jayson and Kody enjoyed their Cascade Jackets, Blisterless Socks and Radar Hat provided by Rivers West!

At the end of the day there was a total of 233 fish brought to the scales with a total of 581.52 pounds!  The average weight per fish was 3.50 pounds and total hours fished by the anglers was 1260.
