Doug’s Background
Throughout his life, Doug has combined a love of fishing with a dedication to service. Thanks to his time in the United States Navy, he had the opportunity to fish in diverse regions such as Australia, Japan, Guam, Korea, and across the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
After relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 1990, Doug began fishing for steelhead, salmon, sturgeon, trout, and bass, quickly mastering the local fisheries. As a result, he developed a deep appreciation for the area’s natural beauty and angling challenges. Over time, his most gratifying moments have come from helping others enjoy the outdoors. In fact, one of Doug’s favorite experiences is watching someone hook into their very first Pacific Northwest fish — a moment he never takes for granted.
Doug’s Approach to Guiding
Although catching fish is certainly important, Captain Doug believes that exceptional customer service starts well before you ever set foot on the boat. As a result, he dedicates hours each week to maintaining and preparing top-quality gear. In addition, every detail is carefully considered — from tackle and bait to safety equipment — to ensure that your trip is not only productive but also, enjoyable from beginning to end. Ultimately, it’s this level of preparation that sets your experience apart.

- A valid TWIC card
- A Washington State Charter and Fishing Guide License
