Burial at sea is the alternative to traditional burial
In an intimate group setting, you can show respect, dignity and honor that your loved one deserves as you place them to their final resting place.
The scattering of cremated remains, known as Sea Burial has been an attractive alternative to other forms of interment for many generations. Aside from the affordability, it offers a return to nature and love of the everlasting sea. Often it is the wish of the deceased or nautical background, past experiences or conservation of land space.

More information about sea burial.
In the past, it was not uncommon for loved ones to spread ashes during a sea burial by pouring the ashes from a container into the water during a sea burial. The issue with this type of spreading ashes is that it is very rare to be on the water without a light wind or at the very least a breeze. Unfortunately, the ashes would often end up in places other than in the water.
Now there are many options for sea burial and it eliminates the need to actually spread the ashes on the surface of the water. The biodegradable urn has become a very popular choice for a special memorial to lay your loved one to rest in a special place at sea. Biodegradable urns are often beautifully designed with eco-friendly materials that will naturally dissolve in either a body of water or on land.
We strongly urge you to consider a biodegradable urn for your sea burial. There are many purchase options online. Carpel Himalayan Rock Salt is a very popular option, but there are more and more options available each year.
